Marketing Weekly AI News

October 13 - October 21, 2025

This week brought exciting changes to how businesses use AI helpers in marketing. These smart computer programs are now doing more work on their own, helping marketers create content and sell products faster than ever before.

OpenAI, a leading AI company, launched a new feature called Tasks that acts like a virtual assistant for marketing teams. This tool can handle repetitive jobs automatically, freeing up workers to focus on creative strategy. Meanwhile, Amazon introduced an AI agent to help sellers manage their online stores, taking care of tasks like writing product descriptions and answering customer questions.

A big survey found that 88% of marketers around the world now use AI tools every single day. Even more impressive, 92% of companies plan to spend money on AI helpers over the next three years. The research shows that companies using AI are shifting 75% of their workers away from basic production tasks to more important strategic work.

Perplexity, an AI search company, made its special web browser called Comet free for everyone in early October. This browser has AI built right into it, helping users search smarter and get tasks done faster. The company removed the $200 monthly fee to compete with popular browsers like Google Chrome.

Experts say the global AI marketing market is worth $47.32 billion in 2025 and will grow to over $107 billion by 2028. However, about 66% of marketers who use AI still need better training to get the most out of these tools. Many companies are facing challenges like employee skills gaps and figuring out how to safely use AI while protecting customer privacy.
